PREPARE FOR FEELS;
...the hell am I?
[he's... dead, right? so. what gives. he knows he died. it's. what he deserved. they found him out after all. he's dead. not that he knows exactly what happens after you die but this, this isn't what he was expecting. he's walking through a cloudy grey fog, footsteps too loud on the ground beneath him.
a part of him expects to find something, a sign that tells him where he is or where to go.
he can't explain it but it feels like he's waiting for something, maybe someone.
his eyes flicker shut for a moment.
in his heart he knows it isn't daiya.
daiya would never go to hell.]

CRYING THAT POST TITLE WHY!!!!!
Maybe things would be better for everyone else now that there were fewer people left. It would surely be more difficult for potential murderers to make a move, and he was certain the correct culprit would be nailed for his crime. Yamada Hifumi...Ishimaru had only been able to see him for a second before feeling something crashing down onto the back of his head, but there was no doubt it was him.
He puts his hands on his head for the umpteenth time, almost instinctively, but of course, any trace of his fatal wound has vanished.
At first, he'd thought perhaps everything leading to his death had been some kind of lucid dream, but the longer he stood in solitude and silence, the more difficult it was to believe something as convenient as that. No place as desolate as here existed in the plane of the living, so as illogical as it seems, he must be dead after all.
So, hesitantly, Ishimaru chooses a direction at random and starts walking. Though he no longer has anywhere to go or a reason to go there, his posture is no different than what it was in life - purposeful, strong, solid. It's the single comfort he knows how to give himself.
He almost misses the faint silhouette of someone else amidst the heavy fog, and even when he does notice it he almost ignores it. If he's dead, then it can't be anything important, right?
...On the other hand, since he's dead, he doesn't really have anything to lose. Even if it's just some fanciful hallucination, it might be a little better than being completely alone, so he decides to head toward it.]
I'M EXPECTING TEARS
no matter how alive he still feels, nothing more can hurt him now.
he can't help feeling nervous though, he's never been in a place quite like this. so empty and lonely, it puts him on edge. when the footsteps get louder?
his mouth opens of his own accord, masculine voice bellowing out.]
Yeah!! Whaddaya want!?
[always the tough guy mondo, look where it got you.]
OF COURSE YOU ARE, ISHIMARU CRIES AT THE DROP OF A HAT
Ishimaru freezes in place. He can already feel himself choking up - he's not even sure if the owner of that is really Oowada Mondo, but even if it isn't, even if it's just something his mind has fabricated to keep him company, it's still Aniki.
He closes his eyes and inhales sharply. When he finally manages to reply, his voice quavers the tiniest bit.]
It's...
...Shouldn't you introduce yourself before you ask something of another person?
[It's completely out of place. But he doesn't know what else to say.]
WHAT CAN I SAY, I LIKE IT WHEN HE CRIES 1/2
2/2
Aniki...?
[he walks even faster, body moving on autopilot. he can't trust his ears alone, he needs to see with his own eyes. needs to know this isn't a cruel trick of whatever place this is.
(even though his heart seizes up, a mighty ache filling inside it. he never thought he'd have to face a single soul again).]
as promised
;~;
yep.
it's ishimaru.]
that was literally the most flawless response
Aniki...I -
[There are so many things he wants to say, but he doesn't even know where to begin.
...Even if he did, he's still crying too hard to say much of anything.]

ishimaru is an ugly crier, tears streaming heavily down his face, snot touching his upper lip. it makes oowada even more uncomfortable, makes him want to yell at him to stop because he doesn't know how to do anything else.
the last time he saw ishimaru had been before his execution, he'd been crying then too. denying everything, because it hurt too much to believe.
an angry bubble suddenly pops in his chest. the last time he saw ishimaru. the last time.]
Who...
[his fist clenches up, teeth grinding tight together.]
WHICH FUCKER DID IT!!!!

He hesitates.
This question would've come up eventually, but he would've liked a little more time to consider how to answer it. The most straightforward way is to answer with Yamada's name, of course. After all, he is the one who landed the killing blow, and as far as Ishimaru is concerned, that's the end of that.
On the other hand, he can't deny that the conflict that sparked between them was also partly his own fault.]
It's...a little complicated...

I WANT TO KNOW WHO KILLED MY BROTHER!!!
[had his brain not caught up to the reality of the situation he might be questioning if he deserves to ishimaru's brother anymore, much less friend after what he did.]
